We treat cataract

Cataracts is the world’s leading cause of avoidable blindness and visual impairment. Our medical team provides free treatment in hard to reach places so poverty-stricken individuals can gain their sight back.

We build hospitals

Access to sustainable and affordable eye care is vital in the fight against preventable blindness. That’s why we building build specialist hospitals that offer free eye care, highly trained staff and the latest medical technology.

We provide training

We build colleges that train the next generation of committed optometrists, nurses and physicians. We already have 750 graduates who are bringing quality and accessible eye care to society’s most vulnerable individuals.

From Darkness to Light

The incredible story of two sisters who see for the first time

Toma (11) and Ayada (7) were born with congenital cataracts. A condition that clouds sight with the build-up of protein in the lens of the eye.

“We heard about free eye treatments being held in the town through word of mouth. So I brought one of my daughters, Toma, to see if anything can be done about her blindness. I was just hoping, but never imagined her sight could be restored.”

– Mr Omar Saeed (father)
