Albasar’s Free Eye Care Campaign in Rangpur, Bangladesh

Continuing its tireless efforts to combat blindness and eye diseases in regions where access to eye care services is limited or financially burdensome, Albasar International Foundation successfully executed a medical campaign in the city of Rangpur, People’s Republic of Bangladesh. This impactful initiative took place from May 9 to 16, 2024, with generous support from the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works.

Key Highlights of the Campaign:

  1. Medical Examination and Consultations:
    • The dedicated medical team from Albasar meticulously examined 4,161 patients who sought assistance at the campaign clinics.
    • Expert consultations were provided, addressing various eye conditions and concerns.
  2. Eye Surgeries:
    • During the campaign, a total of 436 eye surgeries were performed, restoring vision and improving the quality of life for those in need.
  3. Distribution of Eyeglasses:
    • Recognizing the importance of vision correction, Albasar Foundation distributed 1,410 assorted eyeglasses to patients.
