Strabismus is a condition in which both eyes do not align and look in different directions.
Problems with the eye muscles, brain eye coordination or eye injuries are some of the causes of strabismus. Additional risk factors include family history of strabismus, medical conditions such as Downs Syndrome or stroke, and hyperopia.
Treatment for Strabismus includes corrective surgery, eyeglasses and prism lenses.
Through our Special programmes, we have been treating patients suffering from Strabismus for many decades. To date, thousands of corrective surgeries have been performed for individuals living in poor communities around the world.
