In 2025, Al Basar continued its mission to fight preventable blindness, delivering life-changing eye care to underserved communities across the world.
Through eye camps, hospitals, and outreach programmes, Al Basar provided essential services to millions in need. Over the year, our teams conducted 191 eye camps, treated 179k outpatients in our hospitals, and performed 70K sight-restoring cataract surgeries—helping patients regain independence and dignity.
We also distributed 174K glasses to those with correctable vision loss, carried out 160 school eye screenings to protect children’s eyesight early, and delivered 4 specialised programmes targeting complex eye conditions in hard-to-reach areas.
Every statistic represents a real person whose life has been changed.
Together, we are moving closer to a world where no one suffers from avoidable blindness.
