The London office hosted an awareness event at Chiswick Park to highlight the global crisis of preventable blindness and raise awareness on Al Basar’s efforts to address it. The event successfully engaged the public and raised awareness of our cause.

Global School Screening Programmes

Our team conducted school eye screenings in Kano, Nigeria, as well as at Makkah Eye Hospital in Bauchi and in Maradi, Niger, to detect early vision impairment issues in children and ensure they received the necessary treatment. Over 3,000 children were screened during these World Sight Day initiatives.

Continuing the fight against preventable blindness

While the progress achieved on World Sight Day is significant, it is only a step toward solving a global health crisis. Preventable blindness continues to affect millions who lack access to basic eye healthcare, making sustained efforts in screening, treatment, and education essential.
